Burnout gets all the attention;
boreout is the one nobody names
Most of us spend our lives doing everything “right”, yet something feels wrong: the ambitious, capable employee who hits every target and still lives for the weekend and can't fathom the thought of another Monday; the talented team members that have flexibility, decent pay, and good conditions, but each is quietly checking out anyway and looking for a way out; the committed founder who's building their dream business from the ground up yet is quietly resenting it. In all cases the effort, drive and capability are real, and something still isn't landing.
Most people call all of it burnout, which is exactly why nothing anyone tries ever fixes it. Both are real, and they're two sides of the same coin of misalignment at work:
ঌ Burnout is a mismatch with how you do your work and it's what happens when work takes too much, when you’re overutilized in production and misaligned with how you’re designed to work.
ᝰ Boreout is a mismatch with what you do and it's what happens when work asks too little, when your creativity and intellect are underutilized and you’re misaligned with your purpose and what you’re meant to bring to the world.
They might come across as opossites at first, but they're booth rooted in the same issue: work that was built on a blueprint that belongs to nobody in particular. Designed for an average person who doesn't exist, expected to function in a pre-defined way, ultimately handed to specific people who are asked to squeeze into it. People think they're the problem because nothing ever really "fits", and organizations conclude they hired wrong because people keep leaving.
The irony is that nobody has truly failed here, quite the opposite everyone has been succeeding at the wrong thing. And while in the last years we've been bringing lots of (necessary) attention to burnout, we've been leaving boreout in the dark...

Most business and leadership development approaches make you pick a side: get strategic or get aligned; optimize the business and maximize profits, or tend to the people in it. I refuse the trade-off, because the split business-as-usual tries to convince us of was never real. A lasting business only holds when it's built around the people building it, and that's as true for one person's work as it is for someone leading a hundred people
I didn't invent anything new here. I saw a connection between things that had been running alongside each other in my life for years without ever touching. For over a decade I practised human-centered design professionally, the discipline that refuses to build for an average human who doesn't exist and starts instead with the actual person in front of you. Human Design arrived from the other side of my life entirely, and it turned out to be the same discipline pointing in the opposite direction: one looks outward at what you're building, the other looks inward at how you're built to build it. Spirituality and strategy, aimed at exactly the same thing, and I'd been holding both for years before I noticed they were one. The body is the third piece, because a design only becomes real once your nervous system can hold it.

No two humans are the same, and neither should their work be → The first is understanding someone's essence through Human Design, since that energetic blueprint gives strategic insight into how someone naturally operates, decides, and leads. In other words: how every person is meant to move through life and business. For an individual, this is the map of the work you're meant to do and how to actually execute it. For a leader, it's seeing how you naturally decide, delegate and lead, and why parts of the role drain you. As a certified Human Design practitioner, I take this well past the reading and into the architecture.
Self-knowledge only pays once it has a structure to live in → The second is turning what's true about the people into something that works in the real world. For an individual, that's redesigning a current position or (re)building your own business from the ground up, with the positioning, offers and model designed around how you operate. For a leader, it's setting up the KPIs, rhythms and structures around how you actually work. More than a decade in innovation, strategy, and customer experience means it holds up in the market, not just on paper.
Strategy only works when the nervous system can hold it → The third is making sure the change actually lands, because most strategies fail in the body long before they fail on paper. Through breathwork, Silva Method alpha meditation, and systemic coaching, we create the conditions for real integration. For an individual, that means the new direction stops being something you're forcing and starts feeling like the obvious next move. For a leader, it means the new way of leading is felt by you and your team, not announced at them. This is where it stops being a plan and starts being how you operate.
How we can work together
↶ for your work
You've done the work on yourself, and your professional life hasn't caught up. You know who you are, and you're still squeezing that into work that was designed for somebody else. What you're here to share with the world can take different forms depending on your life stage and capacity, so we first get clear on it, then build whichever form fits this season.
for your leadership ↷
If you're responsible for people, a team or a company, you're capable of more than the way you've been taught to lead: you've delivered the results, and the leadership style underneath them was built for somebody else. Whether it means redesigning how you lead where you are, or setting up the rhythms and KPIs that fit how you're actually built, we start with how you operate and design outward from there.
Whether it's your own work or the way you lead, the starting point is the same: how every single one of us is designed to live and to work.
Burnout gets all the attention, and boreout is the one nobody names: the dimming that happens when work asks too little of you, when your creativity and your intellect sit underused and a whole part of you never gets to show up. Your Boreout Map free guide breaks down your Human Design type and walks you through what you've been feeling, why it's specific to how you're built, the strategy you've probably been fighting your entire career, and what work could actually look like instead. It ends with four self-reflection questions, and the last one usually makes the room go quiet.

The human behind this
Hola, I’m Jimena, and the biggest mistake I made in business was building a life that never actually felt like mine.
I've been curious about people my whole life, and in particular the interplay between nature, who we truly are, and nurture, all the shaping and adapting we force ourselves through until we genuinely can't tell who we are anymore.
I saw this split everywhere I looked in business: on one side, people who'd done the work on themselves, who knew exactly who they were, and had no idea what to do with any of it. On the other, people who were brilliant and driven and hitting everything they aimed at, with no clue what it was all for. I was both, at different times...
I spent over a decade climbing, moving cities, changing jobs and industries, always chasing the next thing that would finally make it all make sense. It looked great from the outside, yet it never once felt right, and I spent years quietly wondering if I was just the problem. So I left for entrepreneurship, thinking more freedom and more impact would sort it all out, right? Turns out you can be even more exhausted in a shinier container.
The moment I came across Human Design, I realised that the problem was never the job or the city, it was that I was living by everyone else's definition of success. So if I was finally able to understand who I was, in essence, could I bring that into the work that I do? That's where human-centered design came in, the discipline I'd been practising professionally for years, which puts the real person at the centre of what you build instead of designing for an average that doesn't exist. One looks inward, one looks outward; both start with the actual human.
I'm a 6/2 Splenic Projector, which in practice means I see what's actually going on faster than most people can name it: my spleen catches it, my mind makes sense of it, and my own life has taught me how to make it land. It's why one person walks out of a session finally understanding why work has felt like a fight for a decade, and why a leader walks out seeing exactly where the way they lead was built for somebody else.

I came thinking I needed to do more, work harder, optimize everything. What Jimena showed me was that the answer was already inside me, I just needed to remember how to listen. This retreat rewired how I see entrepreneurship. Not as a hustle, but as an extension of who I actually am. The combination of the inner work and the strategic tools felt like finally having permission to build my way, not the way. This changed everything everything for me. - Anna Lopez

I joined the human design session and it was really insightful. I learned about this energetic framework that helped me understand where my energy and power sit and how I can use them to help me make decisions and get in touch with my power. More specifically, because my authority is emotion, it helps me to understand that it's not something I have to suppress or run away from and it's actually a power that I should honor and give space to. It's been helpful and given me a lot to think about. - Lillian Tong

I'm really grateful to Jimena. It was also very obvious how committed and dedicated she is to this. The way she transmitted the information and made me feel interested without feeling out of place was really, really beneficial for me. - Carlos Garcia

From the first moment, I felt deeply seen and supported by Jimena. Her presence and the way she asks questions made the process feel natural, intuitive, and grounding. In a time of transition, she helped me see myself with clarity and familiarity, like reconnecting with something I already knew but couldn’t access alone. The session led to a real shift in how I notice and work with my limiting beliefs, in a way that now feels simple and embodied. - Gabby Antonova

Working with Jimena through Human Design has been deeply rewarding, discovering that my profile aligns with my life and work, and understanding my strengths and weaknesses. My being is built on illusions and projects; change is how I materialize these ideas, and independence is what fuels my creativity. That clarity changed everything. - Maysun Cheikh Ali
